1. Nitrile rubber is produced through emulsion polymerization of butadiene and acrylonitrile, while hydrogenated nitrile rubber is a highly saturated elastomer obtained by special hydrogenation of nitrile rubber.

2. Thermal Resistance: Nitrile rubber typically withstands temperatures up to 100°C, with special formulations allowing use at 120°C. Hydrogenated nitrile rubber has a standard operating temperature of 150°C, potentially higher based on formulation and raw materials.

3. Comprehensive Performance: While nitrile rubber exhibits good oil resistance, heat resistance, and abrasion resistance, hydrogenated nitrile rubber surpasses it in heat resistance, cold resistance, abrasion resistance, higher tensile strength, and overall performance. However, it comes at a higher price compared to nitrile rubber O-rings.

Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber(HNBR)

Nitrile rubber O-rings are commonly used in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, whereas hydrogenated nitrile rubber O-rings are preferred for eco-friendly air conditioning and products with higher wear and temperature resistance.
